It took Kon an hour to wrap his head around the fact that Bart had set him up for the council and another twenty minutes to find him. He wasn't sure what Bart was thinking. Council? Really? What was Bart thinking? He wasn't really the leader type. That was Tim. Or Vic. He was just the one who provided the plucky comic relief and the superpowered punch. He didn't have the superpowered punch anymore and he wasn't too sure about the comic relief, either. With losing girlfriends and boyfriends left and right, he didn't feel very plucky anymore.

It took him a few tries to find Bart, but it figured he would end up at the chocobo stables. He petted the flank of one of the chocobos and then tapped Bart on the shoulder. "We have to talk. I took a look at the noticeboard."

He still couldn't help it. He couldn't believe that Bart had done it.

...and After

Kon was panicking a little. People he heard kept saying that it was the day after Valentine's Day instead of the day before or the day of. The last thing he'd remembered was going to sleep on February 13th and the next thing he knew, it was apparently the 15th. Which meant that he'd skipped a day. Or, if the rumor mill were to be believed, he hadn't just skipped it. He'd lived it. People were acting crazy, they said, and acting drunk. All day. He was already having flashbacks to when he'd been evil and had tried to seduce Bart and he really wasn't sure he wanted to know what he'd gotten himself into this time.

Maybe it was better that he didn't know. Maybe it was safer if no one told him. After all, it wasn't really him, right? He hadn't done anything. He didn't remember a thing and so he hadn't done anything. Of course, he knew that excuse would only go so far. Once he started seeing people he'd run into, they'd tell him sure enough exactly what he'd been doing. He wondered how much of a fool he'd made of himself.

He really hoped that he hadn't done anything that would ruin friendships and reminded himself that people were just saying drunk. He might have done stupid things while drunk, but he didn't do evil things.

Before...

Kon stared at the shoes in consternation. Surely it couldn't be that hard to put on high-heeled shoes. Women did it all the time. Of course, he was pretty sure that most of the time, the shoes didn't have all kinds of laces and stuff. Slip on, slip off. He couldn't even wear them with pants and the clothes box had given him a leotard like the kind wrestlers wore. Someone, he wasn't sure who, had told him that if he was going to wear shoes like that, he had to wear stockings, and so on they went. It was the shoes he was having trouble with.

When he finally got fed up, he grabbed the shoes and went upstairs. "Shoes!" he yelled. "I need help with these shoes! Someone has to help me with my shoes! I can't put on these shoes!" He was getting stares, but he either didn't notice them or didn't care. Mostly it was that he didn't care. Why should he care that people were looking at him? People always looked at him. He was used to it. Maybe not so much anymore, but maybe this was the start of something new.

He stopped the first person he saw by standing in front of them and blocking their way. "Can you help me with my shoes?"

What this meme is all about is expanding on that, to better create a personal history that you can then use to better build personal development. To paraphrase Lindsay, "it's not intended to be a way of avoiding/handwaving actual threads but rather a way of kickstarting them and getting a better idea of where our characters stand with each other. It's a small island, and it's likely that a lot of our pups have interacted, maybe in little ways." The details can be silly or trivial (They see each other at breakfast everyday), or a shared anecdote (Remember that time when they got attacked by the angry parrot?), or the seeds of a bigger plot to be played out later.

Normally, Kon liked the winter. It provided a much needed break from the fun in the sun and, by the time it was over, he was ready for it to be bright and warm again. This time, though, he absolutely hated it. It was cold and he was wearing the most godawful clothes he could imagine. They clung in awkward places and they itched and he didn't know how people wore them. He was totally looking forward to the end of the month when he could wear board shorts again.

He'd put up with the clothes for weeks, now, but he was sick of them to the point where he was deftermined to stay in front of the clothes box until he found something more comfortable to wear. He'd already scoured some of the shops in the area and all he'd found were shirts that were high at the neck and made him feel like he was strangling himself and pants that itched. As soon as he was up at the laundry, he shucked out of his shirt. The Victorian era had to have some kind of equivalent of the t-shirt, didn't it? And he would find it.

Okay, maybe a good part of it was that he felt ridiculous. These kinds of clothes weren't for him. He wasn't the suit-and-tie type. He'd leave that to Clark. Or...well...the other Clark. He wasn't sure he'd seen a tie on the Clark that was on the island. He'd have to ask if he ever wore those types of clothes. Or maybe he'd ask Lex. Lex would probably know.

As he went through the box, he started acquiring a collection. Vests and shirts of all types and colors were in the pile, but he still couldn't manage to find a single thing he liked. Was he going to have to go naked?

Cont'd from here.

It took Kon a few days to work up the nerve to go over to Anatoly's and Lex's. Clark might have been one of his so-called parents, but he didn't feel like it. Still, he needed all the advice he could get. He'd heard about how Clark showing up again had been for Clark and now he needed to see the other end. Now he needed to hear from someone who was in his shoes, kind of. Not that he thought Lex was in love with Clark or anything. That would just be weird. Right?

Still, it took longer than he really wanted to work up the courage to knock on the door. It wasn't that hard, right? Just ask a question. He didn't even have to bring Tim into this at all. He sucked in a breath and tried to ignore the fluttering in his stomach. Maybe neither of them was home.

It took him a few days to calm down enough to be appropriate company for anyone more than his really close friends and even then, the conversation with Bart hadn't been the best. Was it that hard to believe that he wanted to go home?

He went into the rec room with the intention of grabbing a movie to watch. At first, the bookshelf threw comics at him, but he refused to go down that road. Then it decided to throw him books like the ones he'd seen with Tim. "I hate you," he muttered to it as he grabbed a random book off the shelf. It was the same book on bisexuality that he'd thrown at it that day. Of course.

He glanced around to make sure there wasn't anyone really paying attention to him and then started reading the book. Well, he started trying to read the book. There was a lot of psychobabble that made his head spin. He put the book down and sighed. What was he doing? Maybe Savannah was right. He didn't need to be dating anyone. It didn't matter that he was lonely. That he felt like the friends he had known for ages were slipping away from him. Did it?

Kon wasn't sure what to think. He'd woken up from a dream where he'd been able to fly again, where he'd found Krypto, and now he didn't have those powers anymore, but Krypto was here again. It'd been almost funny, the first time Krypto had tried to fly and Kon'd had to explain to him how it didn't work like that here. He'd never seen a more disgruntled looking dog.

And then, when he went for a walk that inevitably led him to Wallace's to give the excuse that he hadn't meant to miss a date...Wallace was gone. And so was all of his stuff. It didn't take a genius to figure out what that meant here.

He ended up heading down to the beach with Krypto. He tried throwing a stick, but Krypto wasn't having any of it. Apparently he wasn't over being formerly able to retrieve entire trees. Instead, Kon walked along the wet sand in his bare feet and watched Krytpo play with the occasional crab.

Kon hadn't been sleeping very well lately. The thing was that he didn't understand why Tim was so upset. It was just a game. There had always been games or shows or comics and maybe if it had been one of the ones that was real, he would have understood. If it had been their exact life, he would have understood why Tim had freaked out so much. But it was just some stupid kid's game and all he'd been doing was screwing around.

It wasn't until he talked to that girl that he realized that there might be more to it than that. Or at least it might have seemed like more to it. The idea that he secretly wanted to kill Tim over and over...no. He might have wanted to do it at least virtually to Dick a few times, but not Tim. Never Tim.

He hadn't been sleeping well and he was exhausted, so he tried to wake up by heading to the falls and ducking into the water. He was under the heavy spray at the bottom when he saw a flash of familiar dark hair.

"Tim." God, maybe if they could talk. He tried not to wince at the idea of trying to get Tim to talk. He tried to push out of the water and head to Tim before he left. Maybe he would stay. Maybe.

"You didn't answer my question," Kon pointed out. He turned to Dick and pointedly kept his eyes on Dick's face, although he could still almost see Dick's cock. It was like some kind of phantom cock: he couldn't quite see it out of the corner of his eye. It was extremely distracting. "What do you remember about all of this? Clearly something. What did we...?"

He wasn't entirely sure that he wanted to know what they'd done. Maybe he didn't. Maybe it was better off being something he only half-remembered.

Clark was on the island. It had been a day since Lex had told him and he was still having a hard time processing it. Clark Kent was on the island and not his pseudo-parent. No, he could have dealt with that. No, this one was the Clark freaking Kent who had been on the island before. The one who had all but ignored his existence and made him feel like crap. That Clark Kent.

He wasn't sure what he felt except for the fact that he in no way wanted to see Clark. Oh, he knew it was inevitable, but he would be satisfied with delaying that sometime for as long as possible.

He was hurrying out of the kitchen, sandwich in hand, and dropped it when he saw a familiar head of hair.

"Tim?" Oh god, he wasn't sure if he wanted Tim to be here or...wait. Tim wouldn't remember anything, would he?

One conversation down with Savannah and one more to go. He just wasn't entirely sure that he wanted to have it. Kon mused to himself while he had a cup of coffee. He could go up and talk to Wallace, but Wallace was right. Now that it was the morning and he was sober again, he wasn't sure he wanted to sleep with Wallace. But he wasn't sure he didn't want to see Wallace.

He took another sip of the coffee and winced a little at the taste. He hated the coffee, but he loved the way it warmed him from the inside out and he was heading home after this.

After a little while, he'd come to no better conclusion about Wallace and his coffee was finished. He headed for the door and saw a flash of dark hair that he recognized. Wallace. Well, crap. He hesitated, but he kept making his way to the exit. He hadn't been a coward with Savannah and he wasn't going to be one with Wallace either.

There was something about watching the waves that was just peaceful. At least it was usually peaceful. Now he just remembered coming out here with Wallace to talk. That talk had ended with a kiss and it hadn't been Wallace doing the kissing. Then, if he hadn't known better - and he swore he knew better - there was Wallace trying to make him jealous at the next party. It was frustrating and he was half tempted to go head down to Tim's old gym and start at the punching back for a little while.

That was probably a bad idea. Still, it made him feel a little better.

He could go surfing, but he didn't really feel like it. Or hang gliding. He could go hunt down one of the girls or Bart, but being with Cassie when he was definitely not moping was a bad idea and Cissie and Bart would have too many questions.

Really, he had no idea what he wanted to do and he kicked at the sand a little. Damn it, he didn't like feeling like this and he refused to admit why he was. Because he kind of liked Wallace and he had been jealous. He didn't need more screwed up relationships, women or men.

For over a month, Scotty's words and the picture of Lex holding a bundle that he'd claimed was his baby brother had haunted him. Maybe this was what changed everything. Maybe this was what made Lex…evil. It was a scary thought and one he'd wrestled with quietly for a long time on his own. Normally, he would have had Cassie or Tim or even Bart to kick him into sense. Now he just had himself, so it took a little longer, but he got there in the end. He got to the determination that he'd just have to talk to Lex. Face his fears.

After he tracked the other man down.

It took him a few questions, but eventually he found the right door to knock on. He just hoped that someone answered.

Jack's Swim Class

There were some days when Kon wasn't exactly sure what he was doing, helping Jack run a swim class when there weren't enough students to really tax one person. Then again, helping Jack was definitely fun. He was a cool kind of guy and every chance that Kon had to go swimming, he'd take. Especially since it meant that actually got to use those lifeguarding skills he'd learned from class. Today was pretty much like every other day. He watched people swim, he offered advice, he got into the water to actually show by example.

And when he had a spare minute, he thought about Lex. Lex, who'd held a gun on him and Anatoly for no reason that he could figure. Was that it? Was that really what turned the guy he was beginning to think of as, god forbid, family into the one who'd created him and turned him into something that would hurt his best friends?

Even if it wasn't him going crazy...what was it? It was enough to drive him to distraction and it took him a minute to look up. "Did I hear my name?"

Nothing had gone right. In fact, everything that could go wrong, as the proverbial saying went, did go very definitely wrong. He'd hurt Bart in ways that he didn't even want to think about. He'd told Tim that he had a thing for him. And oh god, Cassie. He didn't even want to think about what he'd done to Cassie. In short, he'd screwed up his already messed up life beyond repair. He didn't even know how to start to fix it and he definitely couldn't stay at the treehouse anymore. He wandered around, trying to figure out what to do. He needed someplace to stay, first of all. The problem was that he'd hurt all of his friends.
